My EP five years ago at Wythenshawe Hospital was Dr Neil Davidson. I think he did my ablation but I don't remember too well as I was away with the fairies. I was more than happy with the treatment I had there, and you will find others on the forum who have also been at Wythenshawe. I was switched subsequently to Blackpool - I live in Cumbria and it's only 55 miles away whereas it's 90 miles to Wythenshawe. It's also got a good reputation but the trouble with having a great EP is that appointments can be few and far between and there might be a very long waiting list. When I saw my EP privately the appointment was very speedy indeed and it was money well spent.

My EP is Dr Fox at Wythenshaw and he is very helpful. I did pay to see him privately for my first appointment, think it was about £250 nearly two years ago, he then transferred me to his NHS list for follow up appointments. I have since seen him twice at Wythenshaw and after asking him for to keep me on his list he is seeing me again next year. I don't know which one of the Drs is most experienced but I can recommend Dr Fox.

I don't know who is the most experienced. but I see Dr Brown and can thoroughly recommend him. I see him privately at the Alexandra in Cheadle and have known him for a couple of years now. I know he sees hundreds of patients at Wythenshawe too . I have been very impressed with him. He is very down to earth and is certainly not "ablation mad". I'm sure he will give you excellent advice. Fingers crossed he has sorted me out ! If you'd like to know anything else please ask me.

You also have the option of dr Fitzpatrick and dr Morris at MRI. Dr Morris is my ep at present, he is doing my ablation next month. So far I am happy with the care he has provided.
