Writing about your heart and all it's good and bad beats, some palpitations and arrhythmia can be very good for you.

How can writing help your heart?

I believe that the two main benefits are Data Collection and Stress Reduction. There may be more?

It has helped me in giving feedback to my doctor and discovering what my triggers are.

Just reflecting on a day or episode of afib has helped in stress reduction.

I wrote about it on my blog: myafibheart.com/blog/

I think journaling is an excellent way to reduce stress. Reflection is a wonderful activity and can be part of mindfulness, focusing on your feelings of the day. I like to include a section of each journal entry on gratitude. Gratitude brings me peace and grace, both of which come in handy when dealing with AF....and life. I'll check out your blog!

Thank goodness I'm a journalist and blogger! Why do I have AF at all I wonder :D

I'm very much a believer in everyone is different. You have to find the way for your own peace of mind. Some people become obsessive about it and over complicate things to the point where it is causing stress and making things worse. For some forgetting about it and just getting on with life will be their best self help, others talking about it!
