I had my third ablation for paf 7 weeks ago. Not gone well. In hospital for 5 days with pleural and cardio effusions and oesophogeal haematoma. Awful pain. Still got atrial tachcardia. Stops occassionally. Had an echo and xray last week , still got significant fluid (Dresslers syndrome). So now on high doses of prednisalone for three weeks. I find walking upstairs and slopes tricky. Has anyone else had this. We are booked on a baltic 2 week cruise in 5 weeks and wondering whether we should go.
Still, the steroids have definitely relieved my lower back arthritis. 🙃

I am sure you will not be alone here as we know these things, and worse, can and do happen.
Improvement could be gradual or rapid and it might be premature to cancel your trip at this stage. Depends what your insurance terms are, perhaps.
So sorry your ablation did not go to plan and you are feeling so rough. It's hardly surprising.
You will want to be fit to enjoy your Baltic cruise. More importantly make sure your insurance company is made aware of your condition as it could prove very costly if you required medical assistance on-board or indeed on shore.
4 days in taking 30 mg of prednisolone daily. Face flushed, Had a really bad headache yesterday and eyes feel dry. Had a banana, milk and 2 co drydamol at bedtime which settled it. Upside, my dreadful low back arthritis pain so so much better still.
