Bradycardia Pacemaker
I have a very similar heart rate to yours. When I was on beta blockers to control my AF, that was my heart rate. I got transferred to an EP from a cardiologist. she took me off of all beta blockers. My heart rate then went up to high 40's and 50's at rest. She also put me on Tikosyn, It is supposed to control AFib without slowing the heart rate when your in NSR. tikosyn has dangerous side effectrs the first 4 days you are on it and I had to go into the hospital to be observed 24/7. Unfortunately Tikosyn doesn't work for me.So I am going to have a pacemaker put in late December and get off the tikosyn . I'll probably go on Fecaincide.
Hi there - I too have bradycardia (and tachycardia) my rate going down at tines to 30 bpm. I had a pacemaker inserted August this year. Be guided by what your cardiologist says and don't worry about the pacemaker procedure if you need one. Please look at all the leaflets 're bradycardia on the AF website. Don't forget, a pacemakers a backup to your heart, giving it a nudge when it beats too slowly. Good luck and best wishes

Nothing is for sure. During Heart Rhythm Week in 2014 I tested a chap with a resting rate of 33. He was a retired lifeboat man and just very fit! Generally speaking you would most likely need a PM if that is you rate with no drugs and if you feel tired or faint at any time. Be guided by your specialist.
Hi,
Thank for all your replies they do help
I am on 2.5 mg Bisoprolol to contol blood pressure and AF
I have had few problems lately and have been told I might have to increase the dose to 5 mg
i felt the same about it when I was told to go back on. Took 1.25 pil last night one last night with a a little trepidation.
I guess we need to take the views of the mdics serioulsy and trust them to help with our battle.
