Angiogram yesterday which was fine except for being left with a huge haematoma! Ice pack doing the trick today. Cardiologist went in through the wrist which was much preferred even though I had been practising climbing the stairs with a straight leg! Apart from the usual "bee stings" from the local anesthetiser I felt nothing but a bit of pushing on the wrist. The zooming X-Ray machine was a bit disconcerting at times. All over in about 30 minutes. Couldn't believe how incredibly narrow the operating couch was!
Things picked up with tuna sandwiches at 11.30 followed by a strawberry jelly - memories of childhood!
Things went decidedly downhill when my cardiologist gave me the news that one of my arteries was totally blocked and the other two were diseased!
So now it's a wait for a MRI scan to ascertain how much damage has been done to the heart. A decision will then be made about future treatment. For now it's just a raise in Ramipril from 2.5 mg to 3.75 mg
On my next visit I will definitely order the strawberry jelly again!
