Yes, AF tends to be progressive so it sounds as if you are doing well if it hasn't got much worse over ten years. People in permanent AF often seem to suffer less than those who have occasional attacks that are very severe. It isn't one size fits all by any means and we all have our own brand. A lot of people find the breathlessness can be bothersome.
All the best! I'm sure others will give a fuller answer.
Hello Barry and welcome. Occasional breathlessness, tight chest and general fatigue sound familiar to me too. I often blame my drugs - Bisoprolol and Flecainide but sometimes it's because I haven't drunk enough water that day and I try to remember to drink my 2 litres daily. If your AF is running in the background, that can make things worse too. Have you talked it over with your physician?
I take Wafrin, Ramipril and Felodipine which I have never had problems with and I always drink plenty of liquid so I put it down to AF causing my symptoms sometimes increasing.
We have to get used to living with them unfortunatly
