Does anyone live in the Bangor Gwynedd area?

I live in Holywell, Flintshire so we have a hospital trust in common. There are Cardiologists locally but when you need to see an Electophysiologist for treatment such as an ablation then you will have to be referred to the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital at Broadgreen. Travelling there by train is best.

Hello Gwyn, I live in Colwyn Bay, I am so sorry that you are going through the mill, I was very unwell and had extremely symptomatic Af, one year I was admitted to hospital at least a doz times so know how your feeling. I had no quality of life, and often wondered if I would see morning, I found Kalms helped me at night and often had the fan running through the night. When I had the Pacemaker which is a three lead one, it was a turning point, I was told, it would not stop the Af but would stop me collapsing without warning. Since having a Pacemaker, 3 years ago, I have had 12 hours in total of Af which I was not aware of. I was told recently that my heart is almost back to normal, in 2009 my heart was so damaged that they would not let me go to the toilet on my own while in hospital, I was admitted in with heart failure.
