A and E near Colwyn Bay

I am staying with my 94 year old mother in Colwyn bay at the end of July. As I can go into AF at any time can any one tell me which hospital to go to should this happen. Obviously my mum does not know of my condition so I don't want to ask her.

I would imagine that you have a choice - either Glan Clwyd, Rhyl or Llandudno General Hospital or Colwyn Bay Community Hospital.

I won't have a car as I am travelling to Wales on the train so The hospital at Colwyn Bay would suit. Does it hsve an A and E.

Sorry, I am afraid I am not sure. I have personally only ever visited Glan Clwyd and Llandudno.

I live about 10 miles away from Glan Clwyd. This is where my Cardiologist, Dr M. Shah is based. He is very good with my treatment for AF and thanks to him I was refered to an EP at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. They have a new Cryo Unit. When a friend had a heart attack recently near here they had her in there within an hour to have a stent fitted.

The newly opened A&E department is round the back of the main block.
