I am an ex prison officer of 20 yrs have been in per enact Af since I was 49 now 59 have had 7 cardio aversions and 1 ablation to no effect any Af groups in the Fylde a Area.?

I don't know of any. My EP is in Blackpool, but I live in Cumbria. I think Sheffield is the nearest group.

There may not be a support group near to your location... However,this Forum will educate and give you tremendous knowledge and support in dealing with your situation...Just fire away and ask any question you wish there will always be someone around to support you...

Not aware of any groups but I think there are a couple of us from Fylde on here. Happy to meet up and share experiences although I'm fairly new to this.

Can I ask a few questions:

Would we be interested in public transport orientated meetings or would, say, Barton Grange be a possible place to meet?

Do we want to just meet somewhere for an informal chat or form a sort of Victoria Hospital AF Support Group? Surrey as you may know and I think Sheffield too have hospital based educational type sessions.

If we were to meet somewhere like Preston - and I don't know anywhere in Preston that would be suitable - we could attract those who live in Warrington, for example, or to the east.

Any thoughts on a North West Group - meeting in Liverpool, Manchester, Wigan or Warrington. Or Preston. Crewe is further away for me but not impossible.
