Is anyone here living or getting treatment in Lincolnshire? I am trying to find a local EP and would appreciate any recommendations or experiences. Thank you.

Hi. I live in Sutton on Sea, Lincolnshire, have PAF and see my EP (Prof Ng and his team) at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester. It is a specialist heart hospital and is a two hour drive away -A158 & A46 all the way. Because of their expertise the journey is well worth it. Looking at the AFA list of EP's, we do not have much of a choice up here. Your GP should be able to refer you to Glenfield.

Thank you very much for this info - very helpful to me. I am seeing my GP next week with loads of questions (not at all happy with things!). Now this will be another one.

Hi Jenbo6

I too live not far from you at Wainfleet nr skeg,I have had Af for early 14 years now, meds I take are Sotolol and aspirin, I bet you go to the same surgery as me. Beacon Medical although no too pleased with them. I too have seen an EP at Glenfield (Dr Stafford) who gave me a pacemaker doesn't stop the AF but it isn't as bad, have never heard of DR Ng have you seen him before? Nice to speak with you, Sann take care

Hello Sann. Thanks for your message. I live in Sutton on Sea so go to the Marisco medical practice but getting an appointment is hopeless as they are so short of doctors. I used to live in Leicestershire so continued to see my EP at Glenfield -Prof Ng, one of the top guys. I'm coping on medication at present. I have been offered an ablation but I'm not ready to take such a big step just yet. We are such a long way from proper medical care out here in the wilds of Lincolnshire but I suppose the lovely beaches and sea air compensate for that! I wish you well on your heart journey - we have to have confidence in these great guys at Glenfield. Jenny

I think your avatar is brill :-) genorm, made me giggle.

Thanks, Koll. I would like it if my mate Sooty could 'magic away' all the AF from all the lovely people here :-)

I lived along Monks Road before emigrating and was taken care of by Abbey Medical Practice. They didnt really know what to do with my AF, there is a cardiac unit at the county BUT NO EP based in Lincolnshire.

I think Sheffield and Nottingham have them. You NEED a referal.

Thank you for your post. It looks like I'll be heading out of Lincs for an EP, (if I can persuade my GP.) Cheers.
