Sadly, I have hayfever as well as a vulnerability to go into AF. Some nasal decongestant sprays really seem to aggravate my ectopics and potentially AF. Rhinocort, which is a steroid, seems to be OK for me. Has anybody had experiences with nasal sprays?

David, I had a severe allergic reaction to dust mites recently and was prescribed Fluticasone Furoate (Avamys trade mark) nasal spray by a hospital. Used it for 10 days without incident - I have PAF. I don't like using even more chemicals than AF forces on me, so I bought a saline nasal spray from Amazon - NeilMed NasaMist Saline Spray (about £6) - very gentle and can be used on children. It helps to keep my airways reasonably free of dust and has no side effects.
I have an on-going sinus problem and am being treated by Nasacort nasal spray. I have not found that this effects the AF although I know there are some that can. My doctor prescribes this and he knows, obviously, my AF history. Hope you find one that suits you.
Dear Bob, Finvola and Brenda. Thank you for your responses. I've been thinking about that nasal spray in particular. Sadly my nose is as crazy as my heart. I have a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates, and all of this is aggravated by hayfever. So I often have a badly blocked nose and can't sleep very well. As we all know here, our hearts need the best sleep we can get. I suspect that I will have a nose operation and see how that goes.
