Bacteria, viruses, and fungi are known to cause interstitial pneumonias. Regular exposures to inhaled irritants at work or during hobbies can also cause some interstitial lung disease. These irritants include:
Asbestos
Silica dust
Talc
Coal dust, or various other metal dusts from working in mining
Grain dust from farming
Bird proteins (such as from exotic birds, chickens, or pigeons)
But it is more if you have a lung disease it might be worth not being on Amioderone. I have Restrictive Lung Disease and was taken off it.
Thanks offcut, I asked my GP about a test for lungs and she told me that any xrays would pick this up and so far nothing unusual, I don't always trust xrays showing everything though so good to know. I did however have a test for thyroid done a few days ago.
