I've just been changed onto Warfarin, from Rivoroxaban as due to have ablation, but does anyone experience headaches that paracetomol won't touch. It comes in waves for long periods during the day and feels like someone is sucking my skull inwards.

Warfarin & Headaches
No headaches with Warfarin- re Jo's point- perhaps you should ask to have your INR checked??
Never had headaches from Warfarin but agree it is worth being checked sooner rather than later as there could be a connection. Some people (not many-- really ) do have problems with Warfarin so better to find out if you are one of them.

Agree with Happyjo, recommend you urgently seek professional medical advice. I had to undergo emergency surgery for a subdural heamatoma. (a bleed in the subdural area of the brain). My GP & local A&E diagnosed my unusual headache as sinus related, two days later I collapsed. The nuero surgeon's opinion was that warfarin was the cause of the bleed and, that the bleed had built up pressure on the brain over several days. In my case I had been on warfarin for two years. As in your case my headache created a strange feeling in the scalp. The NHS website lists unusual headaches as a possible sign of bleeding in the brain for patients on warfarin. Hope this helps by providing questions for you to ask the medical profession.
Thanks for advice, given a prescription by Dr and then asked to wait until talk to own GP (on hols). However since posting yesterday headaches alot less. Only been on wafarin since last Saturday
Good to hear your headache is improving. Take care and best wishes.
Paracetamol in my opinion is the most rubbish analgesic for headaches ever unless its combined with something else! I had terrible headaches for years mine are cluster headaches I get runs of them. Then I take Imigran which doesn't always work or Panadol Extra (contains caffeine) which does work but I don't care as long as the headache goes! im not on Warfarin though but do think my AF contributed to many of them. Since ablation I don't get them as much!
