CardioVersion Recovery Times

Hello, I had my 2nd CardioVersion last Weds and my consultant increased the Flecinade to make sure the heart stays in rytham but I'm still feeling wiped out. How long after the CardioVersion did it take before you started feeling better ?

At least my heart is in Sinus Rytham :-)

It will probably take a couple of weeks as you would have had GA for your DCCV. Don't rush things.

Thanks Bob.. That puts my mind at rest. :-)

Agree with Bob....first few days I felt no different, but now things are much better.....almost 3 weeks in rhythm and counting!!!

Best wishes, John

I agree with Bob and John. Although it's lovely after a cardioversion to have a normal heart rate, it can take a few weeks for the tiredness to go.

Wishing you well.

Jean

I felt better immediately but I suppose it is all relative as I felt so crap beforehand . Possibly the flecainide is making you feel tired.

Might be the increase in Flecinade that is knocking you down a bit the body has to adjust to that as well?

I also felt better after 2 weeks but after going for my check up with the specialist 6 weeks later had reverted back to AF so have since had an ablation. Ensure that you get checked after a month to ensure that its still working

Good Luck Alan
