Pains in the jaw

Hi Everyone does anybody else feel that everpresent jaw ache? What is it if you do...

Jeez Bob if you don't know anything about it mate...i don't know what it is? its just like its there all the time and gets painful if i have an AF

Could be tension... Gritting your teeth? I get jaw ache because my jaw is slightly dislocated (childhood encounter with pogo stick). I know it gets worse if I'm tense because I grit my teeth without realising it. Worth having it checked out, as Bob says...

Stress? I get it in the left side of my jaw

Could be grinding your teeth at night when asleep, does it wear off a bit as the day progresses?

Interestingly, I read recently a possibly cause is not necessarily the usual suggestion that it is stress but that when you are relaxed sleeping and you have a jaw/teeth where the molars do not all touch the body tries to correct this by grinding until they do as evidently this sends a relaxed signal via nerves.

You may be suffering from Bruxism a gum shield worn at night may help and seek out a good orthodontist who would do a bio mechanical assessment of you bite....C
