Thank you for letting us know about this. I've heard before of the good effects of taking cider vinegar. Unfortunately any type of vinegar makes my sore stomach so much worse.

My simple understanding is that if your stomach is too acidic the vinegar helps, if it isn't it can make it worse!

Hi Goldiewonder,

I had gallbladder problems 3 years ago and resultant stomach problems. The consultant would not operate since I was too high risk because of my AF, heart block and some heart failure. I was on 8 tramadol a day and that didn't always stop the pain. I read about Apple Cider Vinegar and decided to try it. The article I read said that it had to be the un-distilled vinegar with "the mother" still in it, since distillation removes a lot of "the goodness" from it. The article also said to take a dessert spoonful of the vinegar along with a dessert spoonful of honey diluted in some warm water. The honey is to take some of the bitterness away and make it more palatable. It certainly worked wonders for me. Within a very short time I was off the Tramadol and started to put weight back on. (I had lost 2 stone).

A couple of weeks ago I was starting to get severe stomack pains again and had a couple of days on the vinegar/honey mix and very quickly back to normal again.

I now keep some of the vinegar in the fridge, "just in case". It's like honey and doesn't require a sell-by or use-by date.

Hope that helps and keeps your tummy problems under control.

Walter.

Very pleased you got benefit from cider vinegar. I take it every day just a tbs in water I like the taste without honey. My stomach ibs returns just a bit if I don't take it, but I am also allergic to dairy. I too have AF and the meds need to be offset with the vinegar. Hope you stay well. Good luck.

See you're allergic to dairy GW. Have you tried non-cow dairy products like goat or ewes, milk / cheese / yoghurt etc?

Hi Goldiwonder1

Thanks for your post

I've have inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative Colitis), whenever there is a flare up my heart rate goes high naturally as my body repairs the damage being done by the inflammation,

but now also during a flare up,

since developing A.F. I often end up with my pulse racing out of control ( supra ventricular trachycardia.)(SVT) so yes in my case my digestive problem goes hand and with A..F.
