Had upset digestion and a cold recently and was given "Petobismol" by the Pharmacist after I read the label it said do not take if on "Anticoagulants" so I took it back before leaving the Tesco in store pharmacist, and he double checked and thought it best to take it back.
So question is how does it effect INR etc. it self? Any suggestions for upset guts and eggy burps for in case it returns?

Yes I regret to say that many of the over the counter cold and flu medicines and especially anything which clears the sinuses or is for digestive problems are not compatible with warfarin.
I use a smallish local pharmacy and apart from the delight in them knowing my name when I walk in (pretty good for London) they are fantastic on their advice for cold, flu and stomach upset medicine knowing everything else I take.
I would avoid the supermarket pharmacies if I were you, you probably won't get the same service
PS Pepto Bismol has a relatively large dose of aspirin in it, which of course is why you can't take it.
