Did not fully read this, but the headline may explain future delays.

Have you applied for PIP? I was looking at it after a second failed ablation but not done anything more.

I have now had 4 failed ablations 12 failed Cardio Versions and confirmed diagnosis of Restrictive Lung Disease with a 57% lung function when upright but a 12.5% drop on top when lying. I had to Appeal my ESA and won but have found PIP/DLA a nightmare.

I posted a link from the Liverpool Echo stating the All party Liverpool Council were taking the government to the European Court because of the ESA and benefit reform. It was removed as it was deemed political?

Hi Moggy. I had same problem as I first applied in August for P.I.P. In January I was told I was on the ,'pending' list for appointment. I decided to ring them every other day and ask them if there was a cancellation that I could take. I got one after second phone call and it was for the next day. Pester them and good luck. Best Wishes

Sunigirl.

I’d have to say that I think you’re wasting your time in phoning ,writing or turning up in person, ATOS’s role in IMO is to get you back to work or stop you claiming benefit of any kind asap, even faster than a commission only financial salesman, I recommend that you write or email to your local MP and draw her or his attention to your situation, that's one way you get to deal with the organ grinder not the monkey……I’ll probably get locked up now saying that in our politically over correct world !....but good luck

I am in the same position Moggdog. I started claiming contribution bases ESA on June 9th 2013. I too have rung both DWP & ATOS to enquire about reassessment...they both tell me they are running behind but i should hear soon & have been saying that since November. I have also been told that as i'm in the system it shouldnt take long to sort out once i get an appointment....thats different to what I hear!

So basically, if you havent been reassessed before your 365th claim day they can stop your benefit...i am just waiting for them to try!!
