Yoga and AFib...
I would think anything that can help you relax could postpone / deter symptoms. It certainly does with me although I can't do yoga because I get bored and my mind starts wandering.

I used to enjoy yoga - must read this! I don't think there are any classes nearby but I am sure there are books out there... Thank you.

This is so true! My own experience is that the more stressed I am, the more likely I am to have an episode. I meditate regularly, which is a great help. I have done yoga in the past .....time to join up again maybe?
Taken up yoga and practice everyday since I have been in AF and it has helped my breathing and settled my heart rate considerably. You don't have to go to a class altho it will help your practice, you can practice at home with a good DVD tutorial. It is one of the best things I have done since being diagnosed.
Yes I can see how it could help, I think my AFib episodes have been largely triggered by stress factors. I think meditation is probably also very helpful, not only for AF but in many ways. I need to get back into my yoga, have done it on and off (more off!) for years and have always enjoyed it.

Definitely - for the meditative aspects already, and then the work that is done on the body through good yoga classes is very restorative. all that said, it helps, no one should be hard on themselves if it does not solve the problem. Anything to keep the monster at bay! Try to find classes in restorative yoga and your back and knees will thank you!
