I get it when I go to bed every night. Get it during the day as well but totally predictable, and usually a bit worse when I lie down.

I think it's normal and that it means you have a certain type of AF, not sure? Someone will come along and explain it maybe.

My AF has only been at night so far ( get fast pulse during day but regular) I think it's the vagal type and change in position and change in nervous system for sleep seems to be the reason.

It is quite a normal type of AF when you get it at night and yes the vagus nerve is involved. Doctors talk about AF starting "when the vagal tone is low" i e when you are resting. Many people get woken by it .

I noticed for me it is related to position , try not to sleep or lay down after meals

Exactly the same for me, have mainly had attacks when settling down to sleep or woken during the night with it. Never had one when up and about. Unfortunately this then makes you not want to sleep so am now a very bad sleeper, constantly on my mind.
