My doctor today talked with me about VT and peacemaker ! I'm so scared what is going on , what is the difference between SVT and VT ?

I used to have ectopic beats only long time bak but recently after ablation things got worse

Hi Matina

The difference is SVT originates above the ventricles and is any fast heartbeat and VT originates in one of the ventricles and is considered to be more serious is it continues for a long time. Having a pacemaker is really no big deal. I have had one for 3 years or more now and I don't notice it at all.

I'm on holter monitor to check about the frequency of those episodes and the duration

Based on that they will decide the next step

But I never thought my case as serious as pacemaker , really disappointed

Still hope that episodes may not come back again since they were recorded only after the ablation by a week then none after starting sotalol

My doctor mentioned it is better to have pacemaker rather than being on sotalol or amiodorone till the end of your life

I got tired very quickly even without palpitation , just dizzy and chess tightness which I'm relating to asthma

Thank god anyway
