Hi Maitha. I am afraid I do not know the answer to this, but will be keenly interested to know if there is a connection. I was diagnosed with labrinthitis about 20 years ago and have been taking Betahistine to control it for many years, although I do still have a couple of bouts every year. In recent years I have also suffered with minor sinus problems. The dizziness which both the labrinthitis and sinus cause is not dissimilar to that caused by AF so I have recently wondered if there may be a connection between them all.

Personally I feel there is a connection

Whenever my nose got blocked I start to have irregular beats , and most of my recent AF attacked were triggered by block nose and sinus congestion , my sisters and husband noticed that also

My cardiologist said it is the opposite

Since I had AF the attackers caused breathless which increase nose blockages and irritation

But I believe that Sinus problems are a trigger of AF
