talzenna + xtandi

Has anyone had any experience with taking this combination? My dad's MO is switching him over to it from lynparza alone.

Talzenna is a chemo for breast cancer, unusual to see it used for prostate cancer. talzenna.com

Maybe it's because your dad has already been through docetaxel, the usual chemo for prostate cancer, and also has a BRCA2 gene, which Talzenna is used for.

My MO added Talzenna to my Xtandi. The Talzenna was added targeted to the ATM mutation I have. While I have had fatigue with the Lupron/Xtandi combo I have been taking, the Talzenna made the fatigue unbearable. After speaking with an expert on targeted therapies and explaining my fatigue, he said he wouldn't have any problem with my stopping the medication because the evidence of greater benefit was not all that great. This is one of the QOL decisions we face with those disease. Now, everyone is different, but I would ask the MO why they are adding the Talzenna and what the evidence is to support the decision.
