Not PCa (yet) but promising: histotripsy used to treat liver cancer works very well and seems to promote immune response

First clinical study, utilized a soundwave system (hence completely non invasive)

"The #HOPE4LIVER trial, which began in 2021, tested the safety and efficacy of histotripsy in patients with primary and metastatic liver tumors. With a 95% success rate, the trial exceeded expectations and confirmed histotripsy as a highly effective and safe treatment option."

"This platform is designed to deliver focused ultrasound waves that create microbubbles within the tumor. As these bubbles form and collapse, they destroy the tumor cells while leaving healthy tissue unharmed. This process also triggers the body’s immune system to clean up the debris and potentially even learn to target other cancer cells."

They will start to test it also on other tumors, so maybe we will soon have another tool against prostate cancer!

very nice and cheap. I can see doing this instead of freezing tumor to break it up then inject the immune stimulator concoction like in the SYNC T-SV102
