I used an integrative oncologist for a while. He supplemented the treatment I was receiving from my MO and RO, dealing primarily with mitigating the side effects of ADT. They were both supportive of me seeing him. I quit seeing him when he moved and haven’t gotten around to finding another, mainly because of my laziness.
Did I find it helpful??
At first I did. He recommended supplements to mitigate ADT side effects and some were helpful, though not all. It was a process of trying different supplements to see which helped. As time went on I didn’t find it as helpful. My treatments didn’t change as much and I had a better handle on what to do to help with the side effects and the appointments were largely going over the same thing.
I go to Dana Farber in Boston. and will Zoom with an integrative doctor in a week or two.didnt know it was even an option until recently
I wish I could find one in my local area. Appears non exsistant unless I travel .
