May be ,but normally he is not having any pain but after these food item there was sudden pain . I too was surprised and doctors also told there is no correlation, but he is afraid now and stopped drinking sugar cane juice and eating bananas.
I think he is correct in thinking some foods may be causing pain.
I have mets in my lymph nodes in the pelvis and some pelvic bones. Consumption of hi G.I foods can trigger some inflammation and mild pain in these area's within 10-20 minutes after consumption. I have experienced this at least 5 -1 0 times.
I have a generally hi quality diet and do not eat or drink sugar (such as juices, ice cream, chocolate etc) but eat one banana every day with no symptoms of pain.
I have not experienced such symptoms for months and am therefore a little unsure of the food I ate (maybe toast with jam? or similar), but am strongly of the opinion that a link between sugary (or hi G.I foods) exists. Anecdotally.
If what Dr. Thomas Seyfried has concluded, most cancers fees on glucose and glutamine it is no wonder a high sugar diet causes pain and inflammation. I feel much better on a Ketogenic type diet as cancer does not feed on ketones.
if I eat raw tomatoes and raw onion together, I will feel like I have a bladder infection! I discovered this on my own after a negative urinalysis, ultrasound, MRI and CT scan to try and figure out what was wrong. Doctors never asked about my diet! Pain completely went away once I stopped eating them together. If they are cooked, no problem! So I do believe diet can aggravate your body. Try stopping the juice and banana and see if it makes a difference..
Here is my silly conclusion...... everything we do is effected by our nerves and by electricity in our bodies.
If your sensory nerves are damaged, you may have a feeling of “pins and needles” or “electric shocks.” You may also feel coldness, prickling, pinching, or burning in your hands and feet. Some people become very sensitive to touch, while other people feel nothing.
That what he eats probably effects his nerves in his and electricity in his body.
