why are there no similar trials in the US? i looked at clinicaltrials.gv and found nothing.

my recent EBRT did get rid of most pain but my PSA is climbing at doubling time of 2.9 months and is now at 108 looking for the next treatment and thought actinium looked promising. i responded to lutetium 177 but my blood tests suggested that i needed a break.

I think there will be. It's a new radioligand (there are others on the way from the same research team), preclinical results published this year only and from Munich University, so I suppose they will start in whole europe first, but I am sure that some US party will join soon.

This is for LU 177 not actinium? I was hoping for an actnium treatment with a more specific ligand to avoid xerostomia which seems to be common and scary if permanent. i missed the part about carrying both actinium an chemo together? even better

you are right but keep an eye on it, because both are developed by the same team, so I would expect the same centers to be involved in the trial

interesting and Stanford is doable. however i am not ineligible for LU 177 unless they say that it fucked me up too much? i only had three and my blood levels got so bad they thought another might kill me so maybe that is ineligible. supposedly today my two oncologists radiologist and another doctor (forget who but think there are 4) are discussing my situation and are developing a plan? When they report back I will mention this possibility.

this is an interesting drug. If I’m reading the various papers correctly, it uses a molecule that can have two payloads attached to it. In this new trial they will attach Actinium to one binding site, and a form of chemotherapy drug on the other site. This attacks the tumor in two different ways thus forming a PSMA target dublet therapy. Nice concept.

Hi been in touch with UCL Prof Gert Attard not recruiting until next year for this trial but said to get in touch as might have other suitable trials to ask Oncologist to do a referral.
