Enzalutamide

Are any others experiencing metallic tasting food while taking enzalutamide? I’ve noticed that for myself along with poor appetite with weight loss.

I’ve been on Enza for close to six years. At the beginning of treatment with it, I did experience an occasional brief metallic taste but that went away quickly. I can’t remember the last time it happened to me. Weight wise, I’m just the opposite. Enza put a whopping 80 pounds on me very quickly. When I started Enza I was losing about 17 pounds a week and wasting away quickly . Enza reversed my weight loss nearly instantly and now….. we’ll … just imagine an eggs shaped Humpty Dumpty with tooth pick arms and legs.

Many guys on here can attribute moderate gym exercise to keep the weight gain down and the sometimes heavy SEs in check. Maybe some will jump in and make their suggestions- recommendations.

yes, poor appetite unless it’s chocolate, or ice cream. My nutritionist said eat anything I can just keep the weight up. From 135 to 195. Little heavy for me but it’s working , will be 8 years the 6th of August. Fighting this war one day at a time. 🙏🤬

i’ve been on enzalutamide monotherapy for about six months and exercising heavily. My PSA is going up but so did my testosterone and energy level. My appetite has soared on a high protein diet, so I’m actually getting stronger. Just the opposite occurred with Orgovyx .

have you had a blood test recently? check your kidney function, my hubby had that problem, inc nausea etc. turned out it was a kidney issue caused by enlarged lymph nodes caused by his P.C. no by the Enzo. might be worth checking just in case.

4 years in on Enzalutamide on the 27th July. No metallic taste luckily. My weight went down at the start but now is up considerably. Good luck to you.
