Does the following psma scan report findings considered a visceral metastasis like metastasis to liver, lungs, etc. ?

“SPLEEN: No new suspicious uptake. Slightly decreased conspicuity of mild uptake at the splenic hilum, image 168, SUV 9.9, previously 10.9.”

Thank you.

No. The report specifically mentions the spleen and describes no new suspicious uptake. It notes a slight decrease in the conspicuity of mild uptake at the splenic hilum compared to a previous scan. Since the report does not mention any new suspicious uptake in the spleen or other organs, it suggests that there are no findings indicating metastasis to these visceral organs based on the PSMA scan.

Please note, I'm not a doctor and you should consult one regarding these findings.

Neovasculature (as in the spleen) is a common cause of false positives on PSMA uptake. Ask the radiologist.
