Starting chemo on 5/14 via NIH trial with cytokine M9241. Been watching everyone's feedback on chemo prep. Interested in everyone's 'kit' of products, foods, & supplies to be ready with what works for the expected discomforts to come. Appreciate everyone's feedback!

Starting Chemo 5/14
Use ice gloves on hands and feet if you can. Chew on ice chips during infusions. Try and get prescribed Grastofil that will help you stay healthy.
Thanks. We intend have ice to chew and use the ice gloves. They won't prophylactically use growth factor and hopefully I won't need it. Do you know of any 'evidence' that using the ice gloves works? There are certainly lots of people who swear by them, but I haven't seen any studies that confirm/deny any benefit.
I did 9 rounds of Jevtana for metastatic PC….No hair loss and no nausea..,,Other than the usual lack of energy I tolerated it well …Treatments are 3 weeks apart and take about an hour…,Nothing changed with diet or daily activities….Good luck!….,
Have you done docetaxal prior ?
No….The only thing I did prior to the chemo was Lupron..,That 9 rounds of chemo was 4 years ago…,Since then it’s strictly been Lupron and 7 months of BAT.,,.now I have not had ADT Lupron for 7-8 months…my T was nothing (.12) so last week I started BAT again which we will monitor…,in 2 weeks I take a pmsa scan and will start Pluvicto in early July.,,
What is your PSA ? Have you schedule more PSMA Scan during treatment ? I am not agree with my MO because he said PSMA pet scan before treatment and after treatment. I like to see PSMA Pet scan after 2 dosage. It is important to monitors progress.
Good to know that you did Jevtana straight without docetaxal.

Important note: my intension is not to confuse you. my goal is just prepare yourself with better questions for your MO.
my current psa?..,,it’s 31, and my scan is scheduled for 5/17..,,no other scans are scheduled…,,But I read (from another poster) that it’s required you currently be on Lupron before starting Pluvicto …if this is true then I’m passing on Pluvicto..,,No way I’m taking another Lupron shot….Quality of life is more important to me ….
