Am I imagining things.

I had a PSMA test yesterday and feel pretty lousy. Is this just a coincidence or have others experienced this? I’m very tired and my appetite is in the toilet. Thanks

PSMA Scan

I have never had a problem

So they did inject you with some sort of radiation. Drink more water than usual to flush it out. Hopefully that will do the trick.

I also find these tests stressful. I call them “tests you cannot study for”. Stress causes lots of problems.

The radioindicator has no effect on healthy tissues.

I had PSMA PET scans last March and last December. I felt no stress or effects.

I feel lousy for about 2 days following each scan I take, whether it would be CT, Bone, PSMA, Bone density, .... It is highly possible that it is all in my head.

So what I do to fight those free radicals that my brain might be conjuring, is to take more antioxidants such as Spirulina, Alpha Lipoic, NAC,... At worse I take them for nothing but they should not hurt.

Just thought about it... Radiation is not always the only thing we get during those scans.

Many of the scans involve either something to drink or something they inject you with in order to highlight things on the scan. Iodine or other stuff.

So maybe some people do not react well with those injections? The hospital does warn us (or warn me at least) to drink as much water as possible in the hours following the scan in order to flush out whatever they gave us.
