Compromised Immune System

We’ve all been told we have it, my question is can we do anything about it? I’ve had 3 trips this fall (all driving) one to officiate my goddaughter’s wedding in Colorado in Oct. , drove to Chicago for Thanksgiving, Christmas in Cleveland. We live in Dallas. After each I’ve had a serious cold. Negative Covid and Flu, but knocked on my butt. Any thoughts on beefing up my immune system?

hi! I would take a look at Valter Longo theories (and current trials) and, even more important, microbiome (gut health) as 70% of our immune system is there it seems…or this is what the guys who won the Nobel say! 😜

What’s your diet? How much do you exercise and what kind? How’s your sleep?

Fairly clean diet, 3 hours lifting per week plus additional time in gym. Walk the dog and strive for 10k steps per day. Usually very healthy. 6 foot 173 lbs.

I blame Dallas, I let my guard down last spring and it cost me, 3 colds and covid since, one cold virus kicked me bad and a month after that covid which rang me dry. I'm guessing once you get one virus your immune system is even weaker. Beware the flu and covid are spreading in the area per local news this week.

BTW do you have a doctor or clinic in the area, I went with Texas Oncology and few doses of chemo was not offered which from what I understand after I got started is the SOC with newly diagnosis PC with mets in lymph nodes, I need a new place after the Zytiga stops working

Yes, all my doctors are at UTSW and they have all been exceptional, except for 2 I fired.
