Decipher, Polaris, Oncotype anyone have thoughts/insights on these Gene tests?

Good day to all,

I was curious if anyone had insight into these companies and if one might be preferred over the other. Is it possible to have your tissue tested again after years since surgical removal. I noticed that Dr. Mark Scholz is not a big fan of Decipher.

Decipher has the most validation of the 3. Most top trials that need genotyping use it. Oncotype has been proven inferior:

I had Decipher done a year or so after surgery - Decipher provided the pathologist with instructions on how to choose the slice(s) they wanted and shipping it to them.

One problem with all these tests is that they're predictive but by no means definitive. If you look at the range of Decipher results that correlate with outcomes of varying severity, there are certainly strong correlations.... but any given reading can still be associated with any given outcome. If you get a high score, for example, the chances of a "bad" outcome are higher, but it's by no means guaranteed. I don't think this invalidates their use as a tool to guide decision making, but just be aware of the probabilistic nature of the prediction.

Excellent points on definitive, my Decipher was very high risk at .81 5 year risk for Metastasis, thank God for a good surgeon I’m workin on 4 years of undetectable PSA, very grateful and thankful for the prayers I’ve received too!

I had a different test than the above mentioned and im not sure how it rates to those but it was ordered by Mass Gen Hosp which is a top tier cancer center.

Ambry Genetics “BRCA1/2 Analyses with CustomNext- Cancer”

Now they test 91 genes. When i got it it was 74

Anyone have a comment on this test? I have not heard of anyone on this group getting this test and I don’t know how it rates.
