causes of Pca
An invisible parasite?
Not mine BRCA2
Sorry - no. There are people peddling dog worming meds claiming it cures cancer by killing off parasites - they're quacks.
It is a form of a parasite...
Parasitic nd fungal infections are typically chronic and can be a negative influence of our immune systems balancing /fighting foreign infections.
For me it was environmental , Dioxin . aka Agent Orange .
I asked my MO what causes PCa. 1, bad genes. 2, bad luck. 3, bad lifestyle.
I studied the question, "What causes PC" years ago. I came up with several things: 1) BPA. (biphenol A. a plastic used in canned food lining and type 7 food containers); 2) weed killers, e.g. Roundup; 3)red meat animal fat, beef and pork; 4) dairy milk, as shown in Japanese studies; 5) vitamin D deficiency; hereditay factors; 6) race and gender. There are other causes beyond this list, e.g. pesticides. We have to consider our entire lifetime of exposure, our diets as we grew up, our parents' cooking methods, our own cooking methods, exposure to chemicals and radiation, etc.
I'll just comment - I have a friend who is a veterinarian - older gent. When I first told him I had PCa - he mentioned the dewormer and suggested it. I ignored that advice. When a few years later he found himself diagnosed with PCa, I asked him if he'd used the dewormer on it and he asked if I was crazy....

Yeah….I still chase women, I just forget why.
The day I stop admiring and chasing women is the day I disable the AAD (Automatic Activation Device) in my Parachute container when I skydive. I still jump, still enjoy it, still dance in the sky with friends.
The AAD fires a small charge which cuts the line keeping the chute in the container (backpack), and deploys the chute when you pass a certain altitude/speed without pulling it yourself, as a safety system. (You might have passed-out, i.e.)
Potential upcoming treatments might exclude skydiving due to body changes in muscles or bones. Until then, Blue Skies!
I've read a couple of references, some in PubMed, where there's a potential association with PCa and Toxoplasma gondii.
From what I can remember, there was potential for cats to have parasites that could pass it onto humans.
I'd search for references for Toxoplasma gondii.... maybe.
