Running Out of Treatment Options; LU-77

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately chemotherapy did not work for my father as there is progression on one of his nerves in his legs, which contributes to his inability to walk.

My dad is set to start the LU-77 trial in September. If this fails, are there any other options? How effective is LU-77 and for those who have tried it, how was your experience?

Thanks everyone.

It's a good idea to get an FDG PET scan as well.

What is an FDG PET scan and why is it needed?

Thanks!

TA, that link is very informative, thank you. May be a dumb question, but do we not have the means of piggybacking on the FDG radiotracer to kill those tumours as we do for the PSMA equivalents ?

FDG is a metabolic scan, that detects late stage prostate cancer through its metabolism of glucose. There are no antigens on the cell surface like PSMA.

Pluvicto failed for me so they are putting me back on Jevtana. They stopped Pluvicto because my PSA rose from 1.95 to 10.12, needless to say something wasn't working. Remember, everyone is different.

I don’t have any advice but I’m another daughter in this forum who can’t stomach the thought of losing her dad. Mine was diagnosed last year with stage 4 and bone Mets and my family has taken it really hard. I look at him and he doesn’t look like he has cancer so this whole thing just feels like a horrible nightmare. I’m only 23, there’s so much of my life left that I need him to be there for. I’ve gone through spirals, panic attacks, and most of the stages of grief just in this past year alone. I relate to a lot of your posts. I pray your dad responds well to LU177 and that you get some responses from others about it to ease your mind. Please keep us updated on your dad’s progress 💖🙏🏻
