I’m scheduled for a PSMA and in doing research I read that only UCLA and UCSF use the 68Ga-PSAM-11 tracer. The PSMA pet scan that I’m getting uses the 18F-DCFPyl tracer. Is one more sensitive that the oghdf? I live near UCLA. Wondering if it would be better to reschedule and to get the PSMA at UCLA. Does it make a difference?

The detection rate depends on the PSA. There is not a major difference. One has to consider that (to my knowledge) there are not head to head comparison of the detection rates of these ligands.
Pylarify may be slightly better at low PSA. Not a big difference.
I'm getting a 68 Ga scan, but with PSA over 80 and climbing fast at last blood test, mine should show up good with either...... Low PSA may be better with F-18.
there are some small differences in images produced my RO says. Since Pylarify is the most widely available it would likely be best to stick with that so that follow up scans will be the most comparable.
