I'm currently seeing Dr. Chris Sweeney at Dana Farber, but he is returning to Australia (his motherland) later this year. Apparently they will assign me another doctor based on availability and schedule, but I would rather take the initiative and choose a "good" fit even if I have to start with him/her as a new patient.
Any recommendations either at Dana Farber or Maine, New Hampshire, or other Massachusetts locations?
Thank you in advance.

I actually like that idea a lot and may explore the possibility. I could definitely get to NOLA a few times a year for visits or do my own labs and consult remotely. Not sure if insurance will cover that, but will look into it.
Hope all is well with you guys and you have a good fall (and school year) as the weather cools off.
Looking forward to crossing paths again. Thank you,
all is particularly well. Just got back from my 6 month MO check in. My psa has just cleared its fourth year of non-detection. Just amazing considering where I was 6 years ago. Give my best to Becky and sprout on! 🌱 🤗
We have seen her once last year as a second opinion and she agreed with our Tx here in Maine. We keep her updated after each check up and receive a prompt reply.
Thanks. I've heard very good things about Dr. Beltran and she is on my list of doctors I think would be great to have. I'll check her availability too.
I highly recommend Dr Beltran at Dana if you can get in to see her. She is not only an amazing intelligent doctor but a compassionate human being. She went above and beyond for my brother. She was extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately my brother passed but she was open to all options for him. I know you will be happy with her. Good luck
Try to get an appt with Dr. Mark Pomerantz at DFCI. Good MedOnc, works in collaboration with his patients and us involved with trials and research. I have been with him since 1998 when I fired my former Uro and MO.
Thank you. I heard excellent feedback from others on Dr. Pomerantz too. Also Dr. McGregor at DFCI. Hard to choose, but I suppose it's a good problem to have that we have such a wealth of talent in Boston. I am going to spend some time this weekend looking at bios, research interests, and videos of the various docs. I don't want to overthink it. But on the other hand, choosing the "best" MO for each of us is a personal and important decision.
im seeing dr Saylor at MGH. He is very good. What you get at MGH is truly a team.
MGH has a lot of funding and grants, plus they performed plenty of clinical trials. They granted me darolutamide so i pay nothing. They did all the work. They also have the latest and greatest equipment. Ex. Pluvito.
Every dr i see at other institutions i end up spending our precious time going over my history. Not at MGH.
