CAREGIVER HELP

What is the best option for a spouse to connect with other caregivers? I think I need to talk to some other wives who are walking in my shoes. Should I do an online support group, in-person, etc.? I apologize if this is not the correct spot to post this question. Love and ((HUGS)) to all.

I have been caregiver for about 8 years to my husband. A group was formed here about a year ago. Not sure how active it is. Here's the URL. See if it works: healthunlocked.com/advanced....

Try copy & Paste? Or contact Darryl, who is the lead here.

Thanks Darryl, I looked but there were no current postings. I remember reading posts in this group a while back.

So, make a post! There are over six hundred caregivers in that group. Let’s rev up the energy

Thank you Happie58! I will have to get back on Facebook (I was hacked a year ago and just dropped my account in fear). Thank you for reaching out to me! I hope your husband is doing well. My husband just had his first 2 Firmagon shots a week ago and all his terrible pain is gone right now.... but I know we have a long journey ahead.

Hacking is quite common on FB, just change your password. I don't have any personal info on FB and have my privacy settings set for friends only. I know some people will write about pretty private things and post pictures that they shouldn't.

my wife says this wife (spouse) and caregiver group isn’t very active and she wishes it was. She also comments that there is much negative energy on the Facebook group so she stays away from it. She’s feeling very hopeless and alone at this point and I really have nothing to offer to help her as I am pretty numb from ADT and worn out from treatment and have no answers for her.

I’m happy to connect with her! No negativity! ❤️
