Not sure if we are at the end

Dad's PSA levels were at 2.2 to 10 with Xtandi and they came down to 3.3 or 4 range, but because he was so fatigued, he changed him to Nubeqa. 2 months on Nubeqa, first blood check up PSA levels are at 51.7. His MO says he has nothing else as far as pills go. My dad is basically bed ridden at this point (since January 2022) and can't get in for Lupron either since April. Other option is getting him in for Zofigo, but again, dealing with immobility. MO mentioned hospice, but ultimately dad's decision. Not sure where to go from here. Diagnosed December 2018.

Ellie, I wish I could help. I hope some more knowledgeable people will chip in here. Take care x

The only thing that comes to mind is to try to get your dad mobile enough to go in for the injection, if you think the injection is gonna help. My routine every 3 months is blood test, doctor visit, injection, all in the same trip. Sometimes the appointment takes 30 minutes, sometimes I'm there for 2+ hours.

What is the cause of your dad's immobility? Could he conceivably go in for one visit like me and get it all done at once?

If as you say the oncologist is out of ideas and you can't get your dad up and around either for an injection or a visit to a different oncologist, hospice probably is the only option. I can only imagine how you must feel. I'm sorry to hear this.

Maybe you should find a more optimistic MO. I am shure there are other options. I believe you should at least ask for a second opinion about further treatment possibilities. I wouldn't recommend Xofigo except if he has bone pain. Xofigo is not a systemic treatment. You need MO with ideas. You need a good MO.

Oh Ellie you're such a wonderful daughter. Ask here for a different M.O. in your area. Maybe someone here has had a similar experience and beat the bastards...I want to say "don't give up" but I am not in your shoes..... Whatever you decide or happens, remember you're both in God's love.....
