Having a TURP in 8 days time what should I expect ?
Don’t do it!!!…I would recommend hyperbaric treatment and or other less invasive options…with turp most urology surgeons fail to mention you will no longer have wet orgasms and much scar tissue and damage in that area…IMHO this procedure is a money grab…feel free to call or text/email me to discuss
I disagree completely. I incurred no damage whatsoever. Almost no pain in recovery. So what if you lose the 'wet orgasms'. My only regret was not getting it sooner. When it comes to pee'ing, how do I spell relief? T - U - R - P !!!!
My husband had a TURP last summer after experiencing problems urinating and having to self catheter for a couple of months. He was in hospital for 1 night and had no problems. The relief it has bought to him has been immense. He was abit sore for a couple of weeks from the bruising and passed clots as is expected but his flow has been brilliant ever since the procedure and he was fit and active as soon as he was discharged from hospital. Good luck for your upcoming op.
It looks from your summary that you don't have cancer, or have had any other procedures. If that is correct, you might get more answers on another site
Before I was diagnosed with cancer, and thought I had BHP, I was looking at Prostatic Arterial Embolization. It seemed to be much less damaging. My understanding of turp is that the urethra and valves are removed and replaced by a channel of scar tissue.
Not kicking you out..... but you may be better off in Prostate Cancer Network in Health Unlocked.....
