Anyone hear if greatjohn’s dog Sparky found a home?

Nal, you may have missed the post that somebody posted, that was soon deleted, that gave a number to call if you wanted to adopt Sparky. had a picture of the dog and everything. It was a Pensacola area code.

I am just now seeing this and learning of John's passing, very sad news indeed. He was quite an inspiration as I am a caregiver and spouse, although my husband is doing well, thank God!

I once mentioned to John that I would adopt Sparky, not to worry, and he thanked me kindly, and that was that, never mentioned again.

But I live in Texas and cannot make the trip to Florida, so not sure how or if transport would work. May be better for Sparky if he was adopted locally.

If someone could post an update, I would really appreciate it. I never saw a post that John had passed.

Sparky will be reunited with his Dad just as I know that Sophie and I will be together again. We may not know it as such when it happens but it will. We live in California and have two large Poodles but if Sparky does not find a great home, we might be able to take him on. He deserves the best until he and Great John are reunited.

I discovered today on Facebook that a couple in the neighborhood who were friends of John's and Richard's have Sparky. It seems that Sparky will be well cared for by folks that he already knows and loves. Also, there was a post from Richard (Fowler) who said he was in rehab for a hip fracture and that memory was not an issue.
