Hey Sioux,
Hmm... It is now the responsibility of today's parents to "Teach Your Children" (old Crosby, Stills and Nash song).
However, I/We will survive (guessing Gloria Gaynor,?)
And finally, with a touch of optimism: "Touch of Grey" ( Grateful Dead )π
Best,
AJ

Massive war wounds, prostate cancer (which I had not heard of) and still made it to 98 years old. It must have been the Viagra.

Nor had I. Also, a recent dx of lung cancer.
Guessing the moral of his story:
NEVER GIVE UP!!β

May Lt. Bob Dole Rest in peace....Present arms.
I guess the last American soldier who fought in WWII will be someone who passes in the early 2030's. This guess is based on some 15 year olds that lied about their age and enlisted in 1945.

You may be right j-o-h-n.
Came across this:
"according to US Department of Veterans Affairs statistics, 240,329 of the 16 million Americans who served in World War II are alive in 2021".
