I just finished my lunch...And what I had.. A big plate of pieces of raw Japanese Daikon (Radish) There is no day when I do not eat at least one of the following...Radishes, Cabbage, Cauliflower or Mustard Greens. There are lot of research articles about suforaphane 's positive effects on prostate cancer.
Agreed! It’s people on this site who turned me on to the joys of broccoli sprouts. I grow broccoli (mainly), kale, mustard, radish, and other sprouts at home now and it’s a healthy and inexpensive part of my daily regimen for the past two years now. Keep on sprouting and eating cruciferous veggies! DougNOLA
I would add to the point being made about cruciferous 'veggy' consumption - the right types - AND I have chosen to supplement with sulphoraphane (aka BroccoGen and / or equivalents) for over a year.
I can't say for sure if the supplement is 'working' but I can say that after a recent BCR, I have managed to get to 0.12 PSA in 4 months (from over 11) by combining a group of diet / supplements and the most basic ADT monotherapy to get there.
I tolerate it well (digestively) and there is some evidence that the chemistry is beneficial - so I don't think there's much to lose .....
Wow, what is not to like? I have been eating cabbage like an apple lately. Peeling off sheets, almost craving it. Listen to your body talk!“Mean changes in PSA levels between M6 and M0 were significantly lower in the sulforaphane group (+0.099 ± 0.341 ng/mL) than in placebo (+0.620 ± 1.417 ng/mL; P = 0.0433). PSA doubling time was 86% longer in the sulforaphane than in the placebo group (28.9 and 15.5 months, respectively). PSA increases >20% at M6 were significantly greater in the placebo group (71.8%) than in the sulforaphane group (44.4%); P = 0.0163. Compliance and tolerance were very good. “
