Ashwagandha besides increasing Testosterone has many other benefits such as reducing fatigue and improving general health.According to Testosterone Saturation Theory, after a level above approx. 350, T does not stimulate PCa growth. But this theory is not fully accepted by all.

On the other hand, even if one is castration resistant, there are still lot of cancer cells which are castration sensitive, Castration resistant does not mean, all cells are castration resistant,

Cells do not become castration resistant overnight...it is a gradual process..the percentage of castration resistant cells keep increasing with time and use of heavy ,continuous ADT.,

So, it is not possible for me to give you a clear answer. Its complicated.

BTW, I myself do use Kottakal brand, Chaywanprash (1 tsf daily) and so far, I have had no adverse effect. Chaywanprash does contain Ashwagandha in it besides a lot of other health promoting herbs.

What Glutamine inhibitor are you taking?

I have become very interested in Glutamine, due to the fact that CRPC is Glutamine fuelled.

I take ashwagandha daily (1500 mg) for the 'documented' benefits. I never saw any adverse effect on 'T'.

In fact, I stopped ashwagandha for a few weeks and noticed a difference and started taking it AGAIN.

I won't stop it again - I 'eliminated' it to see if it made a difference and it did - At least IMO.

I was curious what kind of differences did you see when you stopped ashwagandha?

I have a BIG problem with insomnia (always) and energy levels at times.

'Ash' helps 'slow' my brain down - which essentially doesn't want to shut off ever - when I hit the pillow, I slowly wake up - the MOST frustrating thing is I go days on end without sleep.

By 'adding' and subtracting supplements, I have been 'fine tuning' for a long time with mixed results and it seems it never ends because of changes in medication(s) and / or things that occur / change as things move forward.

I'm not done yet - I'm a clinical study of one ....
