The new look is a face I have to get used to. Thin white hair and small hairy chin.. Sure saves on shampoo. Life is good. See prior posts for comparison pictures.

Blood draw and mapping at end of chemo. No BRCA 1 or 2. No other defects that were to make me more liable to get Pca . Kids and brothers got good news. Me, just aPca.

Your beard has gone the way of mine basically. Six years ago maybe more after I started to Cancer journey...I started documenting my beard and facial hair with what I call “beard check” in the same place almost every day or two or three in my bathroom. It’s amazing to watch the progression.I posted these “beer checks” on Facebook. For the past year of quarantine, I had stopped dying my goatee and eyebrows since were wearing masks so much. For my trip to Omaha I decided to try to put My best foot forward so I dyed what little remains of my beard and mustache and eyebrows and I have to say I think I look amazingly better. For me, having thin white hair on your chin and no eyebrows is not a good luck. But the great smile you have and the great attitude and smile I keep on my face most the time is much better than the full beard would’ve been . You still look great to me there is a certain beauty to this post manly castrated life.

I wasn't homeless. I had the great outdoors, a stream full of trout and crawdads, visits from a snake and a bear, a great home . Now I still have a good life, a new face, and my humor is intact. Doesn't get much better than that.......... ( would be nice not to have aPca).

Thanks to all of you----Doug P.S. The pot is full of bugs (crawdads).
