My father has prostate and his chemo’... - Advanced Prostate...
My father has prostate and his chemo’s are going on, he is losing weight, what are the main things which I can add in his food to maintain h
At least one can of Ensure (protein drink) daily and some starchy foods.
If his weight is not below his ideal weight (see tables) then, let it be the way it is.
People with PCa who are not overweight live longer overall.
Make sure there is protein in each meal/snack; somewhat more than the usual serving. IMO

Food can become tasteless with chemo. Try some highly flavored/spicy foods to see if that stimulates his appetite.
Chocolate chip ice cream (two scoops)....

BTW please give us more info regarding your father. Age? Location? Scores psa/gleason? Treatments to date? Treatment center(s)? Doctor's name(s)? All info is voluntary but it helps us help him and helps us too. Thank you....

I had chemotherapy in 2016. Fortunately, it did not impact my appetite. If your father and his MO have no objection. Marijuana may help rebuild his appetite temporarily. Some on this forum have used it and you might ask about it for this purpose.
Good luck.
Has his medical oncologist/oncology RN introduced your dad to a Nutritionalist? I ask because one came by during infusions several times.

If available in your area Moose and Lobsta (sic) make a good combination.
I’m going through chemo now (#4 of 6 planned Docetaxel infusions in another 10 days) and the daily prednisone I have to take with it is making me hungry and I’m GAINING unwanted weight. That said, my cancer center (City of Hope) has a nutritionist on site. We met with her just to discuss the overall healthy eating habits associated with helping to manage stage 4 PC. Hopefully your Oncologist can recommend someone.
