Wisdom or experiences? I'm worried about husband Barry , early tomorrow morning, going for scans at the hospital's stand-alone imaging center 100 miles from home -- body scan (abdomen and pelvis) and also CT scan, as it looks like Xtandi isn't working. I'm sending him in with masks and disinfectant, wipes, extra gloves, his own sanitizer, etc. -- we use jars or the bushes for peeing, as treatment is 2 hours from home. Once home, removing his clothing just inside house, and instant shower. Posting late, but any other words of wisdom or experiences? Thanks!!!! Oh, he has crpc with lots of bone mets. Gleason 9. Diagnosed last August. Feels relatively okay.

More ideas for safety? Husband going for scans early tomorrow at hospital's stand-alone image center.
At a stand alone location I would not be too worried... easier said than done! Hugs thoughts and prayers
Hi Barbara,
I’m so sorry that you two are going through this. I don’t know where you live, but unless you are in a major Covid hot spot (e.g., NYC), I wouldn’t hesitate to follow through with the scans, especially given your husband’s history. My husband (Stage 4 Gleason 9) will have completed six weeks of daily radiation at a major hospital in Washington DC tomorrow. I was terrified about the virus, but no signs of illness so far. It looks like you’ve taken more than adequate precautions to protect your husband. At some point, you just have to make the best decision you can and learn to live with the risk that is inherent with any decisions re stage 4 PC. Good luck tomorrow.
Hi Barbara ... I hope your scans turn out well, good luck.
Seems like you are taking thoughtfully thought out precautious, sounds like you have things well in hand. When you are driving , keep your windows up and the outside air intake for your car closed. Its on your dash board controls, change your a/c system to recirculating air. Covid19 , as droplets , can stay suspended in the air for several hours. Keeping your intake closed stops it from coming in if you drive through a cloud of Coughed or sneezed particulate from the vehicles ahead of you or someone crossing the road coughing. For people like us, catching this bug can definitely be deadly.
Take care 🌻🌼🌸
I took him in for the scans, got him home and into the shower, seems like it went as well as it could; time will tell. Now that this is over, I can focus on the scans --- tele-appointment with the medical oncologist this Thursday. And then....... then we work on the next step. Will post.
The only thing that I would add...... Leave his shoes at the door, then spray the shoes with Lysol.

My wife goes naked............. nutting to wash except I hose her down twice a day.....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
