Lesson About Loneliness (Don't read if you don't want to!)

There are people who have not been held in twenty years.

Understandably they are easily reduced to tears.

If one were just to see them and press close

All the built-up aching inside explodes.

Why can't the wounded have what the rest have?

It's because heartache is unattractive.

I've found some face-to-face time in some prostate cancer support groups to be helpful during the past few years. A big old "Lupron Hug" between men/caregivers every now and then does feel pretty good, particularly after some good sharing and mutual support.

A Lupron hug to you, ctarleton. I don't have any friends where I live with this problem -- though I suppose there are groups. I'm told I behave better in person than online, where I make up in assertiveness for being four foot seven. Kidding, apologies to people with height issues. What I meant was, everyone has troll potential when they are anonymous.
