It's in your bones. The bones that hold up your body as well as the bones that support your arms and legs. They also note your 4th rib. Are you in pain? What are they doing for it?
Treatment is going on.... Psa down to 167 to 0.16 ... And he was not able to walk while daignosed. Now the situation is better now ... He is moving now.. He is walking slowly slowly... But m afraid now.... He is zytiga +firmagon... Till now.... 6 shot has been done.
The treatment is controlling his cancer as evident by fall in PSA. Its a good news.
Why are you afraid now after such good results of treatment ?
Ask his doctor if Xofigo is available in your country. If he is also taking Zytiga, he must take it with a bone-preserving medicine, like Zometa or Xgeva.
ow dr is planning to do orchiectomy ..dont know why...but they said...firmagon and orchiectomy has same results ...is that a good decision
i think....in starting he had a shot of Zoledronic
Men taking celecoxib with zoledronate enjoyed a 22% increase in survival.
Thanks... Allen for replying... Your answers helps us A lot
Hi
A quick update on the treatment..
Doctor suggested to do orchiectomy and this has been processed on 21 dec 2019.
Till than the condition is not good .he is recovering from the operation side effect.
Had done PSA test today,
DatePSA Value
29-03-2019 PSA 167.006
17-04-2019 PSA 39.07
18-05-2019 PSA 0.80
19-06-2019 PSA 0.16
17-08-2019 PSA 0.104
18-10-2019 PSA 0.16
4/1/2020 PSA 0.19
The PSA is still increasing a slightly ....
Also , this 1 year is going to pass on but still the PSA is not undetectable.
should we take a serious note on it or its normal.
Like T A said..its metastasis to the bone. Over 90% prostate cancers spread to bones.
Axial skeleton means vertebral column (spine) and perpendicular involves areas of upper thigh and arm bones and pelvis. These are common sites of spread.
Looks like ribs, and spine or pelvis. Show us the whole report for a more complete picture
It looks like your Dad is in India and I assume you are there with him. How old is he? And was he in fairly good health before his Prostate cancer diagnosis (abbreviated as Pca),....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
