Spike in blood pressure

My husband is on zytiga and has been for 11 months. His bp spiked this morning and after meeting with dr decided just to monitor him. Has anyone experienced bp spikes due to zytiga? Is it accumulative or if it was zytiga would it happen after 11 months? Just concerned that the zytiga will fail due to this blip.

It may be a sign that the amount of prednisone he's taking with it is inadequate.

That’s what I read too! It seems he has a hard time remembering the second dose daily so he’s going to try and make sure he gets 10 mg! Thank u

Agreed. My direct experience with Zytiga is that my hypertension is mediated by the prednisone. Of note is that it does not need to be taken at the same time as the Zytiga dose.
